Accuphase E650 or the Luxman L590axII
 

Hello all,

Apologies for starting a new thread, but wondering if anyone has opinions on either amp?

From what I understand (really hard to demo both), is that the Accuphase is on the warmer side of neutral and the Luxman closer to neutral.

Anything between them besides preference? (Price notwithstanding)

I cannot comment on the E-650 but if the sonic signature is similar to its predecessor E-600, I would say that the Luxman L-590AX II is warmer sounding.

I would assume either would pair with a nice new pair of Focal Sopra 2s?

:) Well, I'm hoping that it will be a sound that makes me tap my feet without driving the occasional ice pick into my ear!

All kidding aside, the Sopras and the Luxman/Accuphase should make beautiful music together. Will let people know which way I go.

Having owned both brands, and currently running the 590AXII, my vote would be Luxman.

And I’m a diehard Accuphase fan, yes; I sell Luxman also. :)

I compared both and went for Accuphase.
Accuphase is more clear and transparent.
My ears considered that Luxman was more round and colorful.
But these terms don't say much. It is a question of taste.
Both are fine brands.
