New Shunyata Ethernet Cables!

Hi Gang,
I just noticed that a new series of Ethernet digital cables are on the Shunyata Research web site!

The new Ethernet cable product portfolio is directly comparable to the successful (and amazing, if you ask me) Shunyata Research USB cables, and offered at three levels of engineering specification: Venom, Alpha, and Sigma.

Check out the links below for photos and info.

All cables are a minimum of 1.5M; custom lengths can be ordered.

MSRP, IMO, are very reasonable (1.5M length):
  • Venom: $295
  • Alpha: $600
  • Sigma: $900

If you're interested, I am sure Ivan can hook you up! (pun intended! LOL.)

Way cool....:D

While I am covered right now, If I decide to add a switch, I will need another Ethernet cable...

Stephan - you go first! ;)

Is Venom made overseas, and Alpha and Sigma here?

That has been true.
It is my understanding however that the new NR Venom power cables are made stateside.

I'm waiting to hear comparisons with the Sigma. Ideally with the AQ Diamond ... I'm waiting to jump in..

I think all the new Ethernet cables are made stateside....just a hunch.

I know I am somewhat biased but during the development phase we compared our prototypes to most of the usual suspects (some of which I own) to ensure that the Shunyata ones were class leaders. I would say that Venom is up there with some of the best non-Shunyata offerings. Thanks to KPIP it sounds more relaxed and natural and the music just flows.

In one demo we compared an Alpha ethernet to another brand of cable costing around £4k, the Alpha was better!

Sigma is insanely quiet and for just a few hundred dollars more, I suspect a no-brainer in many setups. However! Don't overlook the Venom, it really is that good. :music:

Another cool thing - for longer lengths the prices are VERY reasonable. Between $14 and $18 per additional 0.25M.

Cheers,

Guillaume
