Ansuz Diamond 8 Pwr Distribution, Ceramic Power Cable & Sparkz TC Harmonizer in house

Just received these Ansuz Acoustics products today and warming up the system to do some A/B against the 50 pounds or more of Isoclean gear I've been using for 5-6 or more years.

Setup consists of the Ansuz Mainz Diamond 8 Power distribution bar, a 2M Ansuz Ceramic power cable and since I will have one slot empty, a Ansuz Sparkz Tesla Coil (TC) Harmonizer. These are well broken in by my dealer and on a long term loan.

The 5th slot over from left & highlighted is for the McIntosh C1100 preamp which supports the sources. The amps are to be separated by at least 1 position (i.e. amp slot 1, amp 2 in slot 3). The main from the 20A dedicated wall outlet goes in the side.

The Sparkz Tesla Coil (TC) Harmonizer goes in slot 2 (between the amps which are in slot 1 & 3).

Fired up the system and listened for approximately 2 1/2 hours with my old reliable auditioning CD's and tracks. Took notes on specific areas of the music and sometimes, repeated the track(s) to jot down additional specifics.

With notes compiled, turned everything off and rearranged power cables and placed the Ansuz Mainz Diamond 8 power bar behind my R-R (which was a very convenient place BTW). Connected left amp to port 1, the Starz Tesla Coil Harmonizer in slot 2, right amp in slot 3, the dCS Paganini Transport in slot 4, McIntosh C1100 in slot 5 (Mainz slot) and the remaining dCS Paganini stack in slots 6, 7 and 8. Connected the Ansuz Ceramic Power Cable to the side of the D8 and male end into the 20A dedicated wall outlet.

Turned everything on, put in a CD and walked away for 35 minutes.

At the end of that period, put on CD and selected a specific track. Played another CD/Track until I ran thru my list. Volume control was a constant 43 on the McIntosh C1100.

What amazed me the most was how crisp, clear, fast and dynamic the instruments were. Piano had more weight, someone in the background hitting a wooden block was much sharper (and clearer), drums were not only clearer but stronger sounding. Voices, like Eva Cassidy's wooing in song as like in Fields of Gold was wavy lifelike & Ella Fitzgerald's quick "skat singing" was spacious and in-the-room-like.

Background instruments had much more detail but didn't interfere with the vocals & the soundstage opened up more and had a much deeper presentation.

Still shaking my head. The electrical design advances engineered by Michael Børresen (founder Raidho speakers & Lars Kristensen of Nordost fame) with the Ansuz Acoustic label definitely lived up to their praised accolades, but then those two have had their hands in designing many cables, interconnects, and power products for other companies. (Michael designed the Nordost Odin's).

Text'd my dealer asking for an invoice -- as these are keepers.

Bob

Congratulations with your new cables and distributor , sounds like it was well worth trying out.

And it was a great way telling about the differences.

Makes me wonder if i should try some Ansuz , if i get the possibility .

My dealer warned me I wouldn't send them back -- he didn't say much about these Ansuz Acoustic products as he wanted me to tell him what I thought. So, I went into the A/B'ing "blind." Not really knowing what to expect which was a good way to approach this so called "shoot out."

When I was through, we connected with a phone call & compared notes per se & basically had the same experiences.

You, Flemming, being Danish have probably heard more regarding Michael and Lars than us in the USA. Michael, as you know, founded Raidho Acoustics & recently left, is one smart cookie; sort of like a Jack Bybee & another being Dale Pitcher (from Intuitive Designs - now defunct). He & Lars will continue the Ansuz Acoustics power lineup & speculation is all over the boards on what his new speaker line will entail (if that is what he wants to do -- but he does come up with some earth shattering products as like these Ansuz Acoustics products & Raidho speakers has proven).

Best Sir,

Bob

I started out with Ansuz Ceramic in 2014 and then moved up to a full diamond loom in 2015.

I now have the Ansuz DTC loom along with two MainzD8 in series.

My system has never sounded better.

In my Chicago system I have the soulution 725 preamp, 711 stereo amp and 541 spinner/DAC powering the Raidho D5 .1 speakers.

I could not be happier. I have a lot of respect for Michael Børresen as a designer.

Hi Bob

Well, although we have many interesting Brands here in Denmark, we do actually not hear that much about them ( Ansuz being one of them ) as far as i know we only have one dealer in the country who have some of the Ansuz line , he is situated in ( Ålborg ) which is in Northern Jylland ( About 200 Km North from where you visited ).
Interesting to hear that you have distant relatives here in this small country, i hope you liked the visit here. Actually Skærbæk is only about 80 Km from where i live ( on the island Fyn )
