What are your audio plans for 2019??
So to piggyback off Ed’s 2018 year in review thread, what has your eye that may be a 2019 future purchase for your system? Any upgrades and/or new gear coming up this year?
My only real need may be a new phono cartridge, my Dynavector Is getting a bit older but still in good condition, so that may have to be replaced toward the end of the year. Also, you never know when a good deal may come my way on an Audio Research REF 3 Phono! :scratch2: Honestly I’d like to spend a bit more on music this year with all the great new classical titles being released and upcoming titles from MOFI and Analogue Productions. - Buck |
I love my current system. Ultimately, I would like to upgrade my dac to a dCS Bartok and my cables up the TA line. This occurring in 2020 is more likely than in 2019. I enjoy Tidal so much I don’t think I will purchase much music.

I do not plan to upgrade my system this year.

I don't see any new purchases this year in terms of my headphone rig, but may finally break into a proper two channel setup with a 'real' pair of speakers. Of course with a new pair of speakers I would need a new amp to drive them...
This sounds like the beginnings of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Does a book like that exist for audiophiles? Or would it hit too close to home? |

For me i am sure there will be some Loudspeaker cables , upgrade from my trusty Yter cables.
And maybe have my dealer arrange a loan of a pair of Wilson Audio Sabrina´s its not possible for me to get a loan on B&W 803 / 802 D3. |
With what happened this past quarter on the equity market there will be no major audio purchases for me 'till we get some recovery.

I might ditch my Alexias for vimbergs. That'll make buck happy, anyway.
Seriously I am going to Philly to hear them (again) this year. |
I would really like to buy a Ref 3 phono as well and perhaps new speakers, also looking at the Vimberg line.
