dCS Rossini SACD/Redbook Transport coming

With no TEAC VRDS NEO™ VMK3 mechanism availability and no comparable unit available which met their standards, the dCS Rossini player left HQ as RB only.

After extensive testing, dCS is about ready to launch a SACD/Redbook Transport in May/June with a new Denon mechanism/sled.

The new unit is huge & will not fit in the current Rossini player, so a separate transport box was necessary & is about 1.0 to 1.5 inches higher then the current Rossini player.

Pricing has yet to be announced, but estimates are $20k - $22K. Therefore, if pricing holds and SACD playback is an important capability, a 3 box Rossini (DAC/Clock/Transport) total puts it in the 4 stack Paganini pricing which was just under $55K.

Glad dCS found a mechanism that they are confident with for the long term. Will let time pass to see how it shakes out.

Best Sirs,

Bob

Would really like to hear a DCS , which is not so easy in a tiny country :) thinking about making a combined vacation and High-End show to listen to some of the more exotic things in High-End land...although i will never be able to purchased its always nice and interesting to hear the greatest.
Munich is very close and obvious , but also thinking about Asia , maybe USA visiting Ivan or something alike.....sorry for my rambling of thoughts.
Hope you are okay with that Bob. !

Hope you'll be able to at some point Flemming. I had wondered if you had thought of attending Munich in May -- 1100KM's. The best show in your 'neck of the woods' as they say.

Thank you Bob :)

And yes Munich is no Brainer , had thought of it but i think i will attend there in 2019. As i might be able to find some good pricing on Hotels.
And of course enjoy a good German beer , i would then probably continue to Italy to Florence or Milan after the Munich show.
But i also love Hong Kong and would like to explore more Asian Countries , and for the USA i could se myself explore Florida and of course there are the Grand Canyon area...so many places to see :-) maybe even have a beer with you at some time , Bob, that would be a real treat.

Bob, thank you for posting!
That places this stack in the same price category as the Vivaldi One, doesn't it?

Almost - Vivaldi One stack is $82K in silver -- not gold plated version. The Vivaldi 4 stack is near $110K

The Vivaldi One is 1/of 250 ---not many left.

Bob
