BDP-09FD Upgrade and Issues

I think some of you here have the Pioneer BDP-09FD. I recently upgraded to the latest version of the firmware (V. 2.46 ). All went well except for one very important thing. I now have issues playing AVHC disks. I have several 7.1 Acoustic Reality disks that I can't now can't play. I have informed Pioneer, and they say their engineers are working on the issue. Have others had trouble with this most recent upgrade?

Pioneer asked me specifically for the bar code disk information on the disks that won't play. Here is what I sent them.

(Shostakovich Symphonies Nos. 5&9 [barcode 43157 40265] and Mussorgsky-Stokowski Symphonic Transcriptions[barcode 43157 39788]).

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your 09. I have the 09 with 2.46 too. It's played everything I've thrown at it. However, and it's a big however, I don't play multi-channel CDs on it. I hope Pioneer clears this up for you soon.

I actually have it set to output on the 7.1 analogs to multi-channel with only two speakers. I have set all speakers except left and right to none. It plays all disks except the two, which the machine identifies as AVHC. Before the upgrade it even played the two, presumably in one of the lossless codecs like it is supposed to.
