Tube Tester in Eastern PA???

I have a great offer to get my spare tubes tested from Ivan but I would prefer not to ship them around.

Are there any members within an hour or so of Allentown PA who would be gracious enough to test 20 or so tubes? Most are KT88s but I would also have some 12AX7's

I may also take them to Audio Classics in early June when we do our event up there.

Craig, you mean to say your local 'Rexall Drug Store' doesn't have a tube tester anymore ??

That made me chuckle!

I remember pulling tubes from our zenith 25" when it was on the fritz to head over to the drugstore. I also remember the pharmacist/owner looking over his glasses at me expecting to see me playing rather than a kid actually checking tubes. Ahh the good ol' days!

and you guys didn't bust my stones for misspelling 'Rexall" ! ......... actually I didn't , the damn spell corrector or whatever you call it changed it on me ! These damn kids today can't 'recall' the good 'ole days !!!

Ha! Dan, the guys out at the Sound Gallery in Austin have a working tube tester in their store. I really enjoyed stopping by-- though a bit far from PA they are def worth the drive!
