Focal Elear Anyone?

As I start the "great downsize" in order to fit into a smaller listening space I'm thinking it is time to reconsider headphones due to all the improvements in same over the past few years. Am wondering if anyone owns or has personal experience with the Focal Elear cans and what you think? How was comfort? Thanks.

Only tried the utopia's, it seems to have some serious competition.

I have the Elears and love them.

The more I read about them the better they sound ;). Are they open-back? Am also considering the Grado RS1e as the closed back headphones sometimes don't work for me, and, the RS1e is about half the weight. But, am quite happy with my Focal speakers.

Yes they are open back.

As this is my first foray into 'cans' since a set of Stax those many years ago, I went with the Senn HD650. If they are as good as the reviews, then should serve me well until I get that inevitable 'itch' to upgrade.

I have enjoyed the HD 650 for a few years. I find them very comfortable.I run them through a small tube amp.

Great. I'll start listening to them tomorrow and report back (new thread).
