Stillpoints to replace OEM spikes on Amati Futura - on the fence

Im a big Sonus Faber fan. Started with the Grand Piano Domus then upgraded to the Cremona M's and currently, I have Amati Futura's.
All 3 models have a pretty steep rake angle with the OEM spikes.

I've considered replacing the spikes with a set of Stillpoints. I cant seem to pull the trigger on a set because I really dont know what they will do and how they will improve the sound.

Some questions I would love answers to would be:
-what made you consider them
-what did they do (positive or negative) to the sound
-what SP model did you buy for your speakers
-after installing them, was the change subtle or dramatic

For my TAD R1s, the difference in tightening and enunciation of the bass response with the Ultra5s was immediately noticeable. The R1 spikes were decent OOTB but i knew I would need something more robust.

Dramatic

Aren't the front spikes on your speakers longer than the rear? I have Sonus Faber Elipsa SE speakers. I was looking at the Isoacoustics GAIA ll for my speakers but have the problem of the front spikes being longer than the rear. Do the Stillpoints come with some type of spacer?

Mark... there are ways to install Stillpoints and maintain the same rake. PM me and we’ll talk. ;)

Correct. Front spikes are longer. I think I might be losing some bass dynamics as a results. It seems when i am standing up, there is a bigger bass presence :scratch2:

Be sure that you give yourself time to perform a complete evaluation. I tried Stillpoints under my X2's. I thought the sound did improve and left them on for about a month. I then removed the Ultra 5's and the SQ seemed to improve again. Bottom line, what we think is the improved SQ that comes with change is really just change. That goes with components other than Stillpoints too.
