Shindo Mr T
 

Anyone using a Mr T power conditioner that thinks it makes a material difference in their Shindo system and is worth the investment ? Here is a link to a thread on the Mr T that also includes a link to a review on the unit , but I would be curious to hear if there are more opinions on this unit.

I use a Mr T and it certainly seems to be the icing on the cake in my system. I wouldn't consider it an essential investment, but it certainly ties everything together. It was better than the Belkin thing I was using previously by a long margin, with the Belkin things seemed a bit shut in and undynamic compared with the Mr T.
if you already have a nice Shindo Pre and power amps, then it makes sense to get a Mr T as well.

If you're a Shindo owner + in the market for a power conditioner, the Mr. T is one of the best options. I'll be adding 2 in the future.

What makes a synergy here?

Shindo amps are designed and voiced together with the Mr. T and Shindo cables.

I have a T in my set-up. I would be happy to answer any questions - so shoot me a PM, if you like. I've been working on a review of it for my *log that shall rename nameless on this site... I'm just behind on reviews... So for now, let me say this - it has value. If anything, it doesn't impede the equipment like I found to be the case with a PS Audio product. And, FWIW, I think its value has less to do with "voicing", as it is a power transmitter, and more to do with the way it transfers its power.

Everything makes a difference.. However, to what degree and it's worth only you can decide, regardless of reviews. I do recommend working with your local dealer and they can loan you one to try in your setup, perhaps.

The benefit of using a Mr. T outweigh it's price, especially when considering the cost of a full setup, composed of a Shindo preamp, amp, proper Shindo cables, speakers, etc.. It's the icing on the cake...

Les, if you can work out a demo with your dealer, you should. FWIW, I never looked back after getting mine, and I also stopped looking... Maybe that's enough said!

I consider the Mr. T the cherry on top of the Sundae. If you already have a Shindo amp and preamp then the Mr. T is an easy accessory to recommend. Mine replaced a PS Audio PowerPlant.

The Mr. T worked wonders for me. I knew the power supply in my neighborhood was crappy because I was literally forced to buy speed controller for my turntable which was a add on option. But I was slow to pull the trigger on the Mr. T becuase I figured I would eventually pick up one used just to try it when one came up but the used prices were too close to a new one for me so I bought new while the money was buring in my pocket. Once installed I tried to kick myself for not doing it sooner. "The cherry on top of the Sundae" is a good description. It already sounds good but the Mr.T somehow completes the presentation. To my ears I gained a fullnessness and refinement particularly with piano.
