Got my C2500 today

The 2500 came in today and the first thing I was shocked with was the stark difference in color. My MC300 is pretty "green" colored meters compared to this thing. Hard to tell in the pics but it is very different. Haven't had a chance to hookup quite yet.

Congrats! I am sure you will be pleased.

Ok it does sound just as I had hoped and I am very happy. As much as I love the MC300, I have to get a more modern amp. Can you tell the color difference between the amp and preamp? They almost seem like different products.

Im sure I saw on this Forum a Thread that says that on some Mc Models you can adjust the Blue/Green Balance?

Have a search- our Dan may also be able to help.

The MC300 has faded over time. I owned one over 15 year ago.

Chris.......I also owned the MC300 power amplifier for 12 years. The meter lighting does not use LED's, they are incandescent lamps, four per meter. The color of the meters is controlled using colored lighting film. By using different color and density film, sometimes in combination with slightly different color film you can adjust the meter color to suit your taste.

Do a Google search for stage light color film. I found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-12-Inc...57185334&psc=1

I appreciate the comments! I think this is further convincing me to upgrade the amp. It actually sounds fantastic but, I listened to a 402 and 452 recently and realized I'm in the dark ages...

Chris.......The C2500 and the MC452 would be the cat's meow.

I wouldn't do anything quick. Personally, call me odd but I kinda like it. I wouldn't get rid of a beautiful amp unless you are looking for an excuse.
