Jbl L100
A true classic. The JBL L100. I wonder how many thousand of these are still blasting rock and roll.

Many nice pairs available on eBay very often. Great memories of the day! Mine had the brown quadrex grilles. Pete |
Pete.......I can remember drooling over these in the stereo shop window many times before I was finally able to buy a pair. When I finally got them home I thought I'd gone to heaven.

Here is a look at the JBL L100 midrange driver and woofer. Very few speaker manufacturers were building cast basket midrange drivers and woofers in the early 1970's besides JBL and Altec.

Here is a shot of the JBL L100 tweeter, and the crossover controls for the mid range and tweeter.

The Orange colored foam grills were the pair I had. The grills were unusual looking, and did not pass the cat scratch test.

I always love seeing this ad photo with the JBL L100. If I remember correctly, the photo was used in a Maxell cassette tape ad.
