I was watching you tube and saw a E4000 being presented at Tokyo Hi-Fi show
Thought you Accuphase fans should know.

Do you guys think the E4000 would be a good upgrade to the accuphase E380 that I already have? The e4000 has a better transformer a little higher DF and 60wpc more than the E380 I have, but carries a heafty price tag to upgrade here in the United States. $7,000 more than what I currently have.

I am running 20 yr old B&W 804S speaker, Ps audio digital link iii dac, Rel T7x sub and it sounds great with the accuphase E380. I have a one year trade up program with my e380 and just wondering if it is worth it? My audio addiction is saying sure, but my bank account is saying no.

I could also exchange for the Hegel h590 for $3,000 more or the newer classe delta stereo amp for $3,500 more and just use a preamp I have now until I get a better one. No option for in home testing, but currently very happy with the e380 I have and PS audio digital link iii dac I have now. TIA...

Since we are spending your $$, I would go for new speakers.

Thank you Masterlu... I need to make it over to the new member forum. It has been awhile since I have been on these forums.

Thanks, but for now I happen to like my speakers. They are the 804(S) series, so newer than the N804. They are in perfect shape, light cherry, upgraded crossover over the original N804 and a 90 or 91 db speaker made in England at the time, so easier to drive vs the original N804 line.

Just interested in the amps or integrated amps I mentioned. Want to be setup, so a few years down the road I can do the speaker upgrade.

More interested in your guys thoughts on the amplification I have mentioned. The E4000 is the new replacement for the E480. The accuphase e380 I have, sounds better than the classe cp500 & ca2200 pre/pro I had for 20 years.

The E4000 would be a quantum leap forward in every aspect. If you choose to become a Subscriber; link below, I have been known to give incredible discounts on brand new USA Authorized Accuphase gear. ;)

I have full credit for my e380 towards the e4000 if I choose, just have to pay the huge difference in price. Anything you can do for me? Could you private message me if you can do anything?

I love accuphase, but as we know, the U.S prices are ridiculous. Thank you sir!
