ARC 6SE/160S to Boulder 1110/1160?

Have ordered Wilson Alexia V and thinking Boulder 1110/1160 better match than my current ARC. Thoughts from Boulder owners would be appreciated.

Congrats on your new Alexia V's.
You might want to wait and listen with your ARC gear before deciding on making a change. Then listen with the Boulder gear.

Yes, wait and listen with your ARC. You have fine amplification and I know folks who are very satisfied with the pairing of your amp with AlexxV. My experience with Boulder (and I’m a fan) is that they tend to be a little clinical so speaker pairing is important. Wilson tend to be very neutral, so the combination may be too much of a good thing.

Very helpful! Many thanks.

See my signature. I heard the 160Ms with Alexia 2s prior to purchasing. They did and do
drive the Alexias very well.

Defiantly recommend spending some time with the ARC gear before switching. Else you might not appreciate what is driving the change in sound. I went from ARC to Boulder a couple years back and it has been great for me. Was using the REF250SE and assumed I was getting all the power my speakers desired. Turned out I didn’t know what I was missing. But so much can depend on speaker, room, and musical preference.
