New Orleans may take a hit from Hurricane Nate
Right now tropical storm Nate is south of Yucatan, Mexico headed toward the Gulf of Mexico. Sustained winds are 50 mph. The National Hurricane Center predicted path shows Nate becoming a hurricane by this Saturday and possibly making landfall in New Orleans.
As all Floridians were reminded during hurricane Irma, the unpredictability of a hurricane' track is not something to be ignored. Although the present predicted path shows Nate hitting land in southeastern Louisiana, north Florida residents need to keep a watchful eye on this storm. I sure don't want another hurricane coming across me again this year. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/storm_graphi...e_and_wind.png |
