Silver Electra

Recently installed Silver Electra PC on my McIntosh MAC6700. The remaining portion of my humble system consists of Bryston BDP-2, BDA-3 and Model T passive speakers. Current cables are Platinum Starlight 7, Gold and Silver Starlight 7, Silver Eclipse 7 speaker cable.

I never was a believer in upgraded power cords but now I am. From the instant Silver Electra was applied there was an immediate difference in the overall sound. Imaging improved, base was more defined, tonal quality of midrange and upper end improved. This was only with upgrade on MAC6700, I now will add to both BDP-2 and BDA-3. Can’t wait to hear differences after proper burn in. Just thought I’d share my experience. :music:

I was neither until around 15 years back I had an Esoteric DV50, upgraded to DV50S -- and pulled the trigger on a Shunyata King Cobra Version 1 Power Cord. Expensive back then at around $2K IIRC.

Had a few guys over at the unveiling & before the 1st song was thru playing there were three jaws on the floor. I became a convert 1 millisecond later.

IMO, that cord put Shunyata on the Power Cord map.

Best sir, it's a hell of a trip.

I am in agreement 100%. I still remember when I borrowed a few different aftermarket power cords from my dealer. What an eye opener. That was 8 years ago and now I feel that getting your power delivery rock solid is a critical component of system building.
