I love the new Senn HD800's, I use them with a Grace M902 amp. :music:

Only problem is they don't see much use. :(

My favorites would be the Stax that I currently use in my main system:

I use the Senheiser HD600 with the Gilmore Lite Headphone Amp. I would like to hear the HD800 headphone, but like you I spend more time between the speakers that with the headphones.

Is there a big difference between the 800 and 650 Senn?
I own the 650's and have not heard another headphone since Koss in the
70's as a kid. Mine sit too but I like knowing they are there for late night desk work.

I have had the Denon AH -D7000 for about 3 weeks now. I wanted something with closed back design so waiting for the new Sennheiser's was not an option. The sound is fine. After the first week where is used them several times, they now just sit. There is no comparison, I enjoy speakers too much for headphone listening.

For travel, the Senn PXC450's. Talk about noice cancellation! Can't hear anything, and most importantly, those damn babies screaming in the back of the plane!

Cool - I've been looking into getting some travel headphones - sounds like I need a pair of those.

Otherwise I'm with the majority here - I don't use them enough at home to make it worth a large investment for me. I like the sound of my main system too much!

I have the Grado RS1 and the Senn 650 with the Cardas upgrade......really like both `phones......only use them late at night but still prefer the sound of the big rig.
