New Sasha!
Well that's exciting. New Sasha coming this fall according to Wilson's Twitter feed.
Looking forward to seeing where Daryl is taking things. |
That will be interesting to see
|
It appears to be called the Sasha DAW (David A Wilson?)
C'mon Bill, tell us somethin' I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it will be sloped more, have more adjustability, and it will have more cabinet volume using the same tricks as the Alexia 2. Beyond that, I dunno. |
New SashaW/P DAW announced in memory of David Wilson. Fitting tribute as Watt Puppy is the best selling speaker over $10,000, and the model most of us first got to know Wilson Audio. Sasha DAW will have almost no common parts with Sasha2
Sasha DAW uses Wamm Chronosonic tweeter rear wave chamber, same midrange as WAMM, thicker proprietary enclosure materials. Sasha DAW represents the largest upgrade of this platform. MSRP $39,500 USD. Expected Nov 2018 |

Interesting.

Would be great if these were being shown at RMAF next month!!!

Unfortunately, the other side of an all new everything speaker design is that you can't just grab existing parts off the shelf to put together a pair to preview at a show. Sadly, production units will not be ready in time for RMAF. |

Tentatively planning on trading in my Sophia 3s for these. |

Wilson's upgrades are not cosmetic, folks. Heck, when I went from Sasha 1 to 2 it was a big upgrade. I am sure this new Sasha will be a home run. I hope you do it, and I'm looking forward to hearing all about it! [emoji106] |

I look forward to hearing them at the Paragon Event on the 8th of November.

Looks like they are using the paper woofer found in alexia.

Raked back woofer cabinet. Also looks like larger cabinet volumes for tweeter, midrange and woofers.
|
Nice Bill... thanks.
And notably less rake of the mid-range. But, all is adjustable for local dimensions. I'm going to look at my Yvette speaker baffle angles. Easy to rake the woofer back a small amount. Have fun and enjoy the music... |

You are aware that the woofer baffle is not vertical on Yvette right? |
Hey Dave,
Well I wasn't aware of the woofer angle until I looked. Upon review, the rakes on all the Yvette's drivers look more like the new DAW Sasha than my old Sasha 1s. Pretty cool look actually As you have previously made clear, your good advise is to not angel the cabinet as it will screw up the engineering. Got it, thanks. Best... Bob |
Taken from posts I made on another forum (circa 9/15-10/1) about the Sasha DAW:

Looking forward to Sasha DAW! I'm guessing it will be a knockout like the Alexia Series 2. |
