Too quiet here at Japanese Exotica!

IT seems the Japanese Exotica forum has no update in a long time. No one seems or hear a news flash on their top of the line brands?

I think it is because the most popular brands have their own forum.

Luxman just recently setup their own direct distribution branch called "Luxman America" in the US.

Yup. On a Higher Note (US distributor for 10 years) has been terminated with Luxman's holding company deciding to go direct as the NA distributor. It will be interesting to see what they do with the wholesale pricing structure and how they intend to grow the dealer network - unless they decide to go with Amazon or Best Buy or some other non-traditional approach.

On a Higher Note is trying to sell existing stock (albeit not much of it) to current dealers at slightly less that wholesale and then will sell the rest on A'gon.

Interesting times.

New poster here. I have a Luxman L-590 AII on the way. This will be my first "Class A" component. I currently have Parasound JC-2BP and A21 powering Klipsch Palladium P38. I am very interested in hearing the rich sound that I expect to hear from a class A integrated.

Also trying to get my post count high enough to start my own threads.

Congrats! Luxman Class A sound is top notch. Natural, detailed, sweet and airy and never harsh or analytical sounding. https://youtu.be/xytP_RAbp-U

Welcome to AAf. If you become a subscriber ($25, annually) you will be able to communicate thru PMs to the rest of us, post pictures and have access to buy & sell at no cost to the forum classifieds.

Accuphase has its own, dedicated thread, so don't post much here. The Luxman SQ-N10 integrated is the one piece of gear I wish I had not sold. Am guessing your new 590 will provide similar feelings on your part. Hopefully, before you would sell. ;)

On a Higher Note did a good job by me. Think they have known for quite some time that they were on the way out. They've been selling stock at a discount and have not been able to obtain new stock for most all of last year.

Welcome!

Congrats on the Luxman. You’re in for a real treat.
