I'm going to sound like a UAW leader with my comment, but I don't believe they are truly losing $'s on each base model sold. I think what we are seeing is a fully loaded P&L with all of the design costs, cost of changes to production equipment, etc rolled into cost. Many of these costs are already sunk. This is the correct way to account for it, but I seriously doubt they are losing cash on each one they sell. I believe that if this car beats Chevy's internal volume sales goals, it will really improve their P&L.

Enough with my Accounting talk! I love the way the car looks and if I had that level of discretionary income, I would definitely have this car on my very short list of cars to purchase. Right now, my son's tuition payment is like buying one of these cars each year.
