12v trigger interconnect to pre

I need some advice here, esp from Pass Labs amp users. The 12V trigger of the X260.8 has two binding posts (Red and Black). My ARC pre comes with 12V trigger has only a single output. It looks like a 3.5mm jack. What cables are you using the trigger the amps out of a single jack. Did you put a dual plug splitter in the the single jack and then connect 2 plugs with red/black cables or is someone making a 3.5mm plug to 2 sets of red and black cables?

Thanks

Derek

What kind of connectors do you have in the Pass? Female RCA?
What connector do you have in the ARC? 3.5mm stereo?

If so, you need something like this:

That’s it (except w spade terminals). Only issues is the ARC only has one output and I need to connect 2 amps. I haven’t see a biwired 3.5mm stereo connector.

Thanks

Check if the amp has a trigger output (many amps do). Then you can Daisy-Chain the amps to each other.

Otherwise you can use a 3.5mm splitter like this one.

Thanks. That might work. I also reached out to signal cable to see if they could build me one.

Hey Derek - The cables suggested may not work properly. They are stereo connectors, so-called TRS (tip-ring-sleeve), meaning left, right and common signals.
You need a mono 3.5mm connector ("TS").

However, you can buy a mono-stereo adaptor (below), then add the TRS 3.5 mm stereo connect. Then both left and right wires will carry the 12V trigger signal.

Might be best to build your own or have one made.

Ivan - can you PM me a quote for a custom WW trigger cable. I would need 1M for each amp lead

I just picked up a Pass amp. Can I cut the end off a standard trigger cable and use that bare wire? Or is a proper cable preferable?
