Matt's system

Been here on AA for a while now, first as a lurker and more recently as a subscriber and occasional contributer. I am a novice at hi-fi, but have loved music all my life. I bought a (well) used MA6100 with period XR7 McIntosh speakers when I was in high school. Enjoyed them for over 20 years, and THOUSANDS of hours before this recent upgrade:

This is the 1st iteration of the new setup:

- Pair of MC501's, bought new when the 601's superseded them.
- 1st gen 800 Diamond speakers, bought used
- C2300 pre
- Oppo95 source
- Kimber 12TC speaker cable, Hero Copper balanced interconnects

Love the sounds I am hearing. So new, and such an improvement.

As I mentioned, music is a lifelong love. All kinds. Rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, jazz, occasionally classical and opera. I know a number of us here enjoy making music, so I thought to share a couple of the goodies that share the living room:

- JTM 45-100. KT66 chimey goodness, a Marshall that sounds like a ballsy Fender. Yes, this is the only one they made in white.

- Early (1969) 50 watt plexi. With rare, tall 4x12 cabinet with 25W greenbacks. Looks like an 8x10, but it's not.

- A motley mix of Hiwatt goodness. Why? Just because.

Enjoy!

PS -would be grateful if anyone could assist in getting the pics full-size.

Best,

Matt

I prefer to play with myself...

:naughty:

A few bands with friends over the years, actually looking to put something together again soon. We'll see.

In the meantime, Nat is VERY understanding since this all doubles as our living room/dining room.
