MS300 power supply

I know this has been brought up before but I can't seem to find the info I want. The power supply of my MS300 is gone and I would like to replace it myself. Is there a specific model of the Escient that can be used for parts. I thought I would try ebay to find a working used escient.
Thanks Ed

Ed.......As I understand it from other posts I have read, the Escient MX111 Power supply is the exact one used in the MS300/750.

There is also the option of having your switch mode power supply rebuilt. Again, from previous posts on AA, a member had his MS750 power supply rebuilt here:

Dan, thanks so very much. That was exactly what I was looking for.I don't know what my problem was, but I just didn't see it - age related???

All of the Escient systems had similar problems. Replacement parts are getting harder to find. I concur with Dan, you should have yours rebuilt by those guys who will essentially give you a new power supply rather than finding an old Escient which is known to have problems and which may fail on you soon too.

I plan to give them a call next week and send it to them for a rebuild. I just can't give up on the MS300 yet.
Thanks Ed

Ed.......I understand. I'll do whatever is necessary to keep my MS750 operating. I listen to it everyday.

When you have them on the phone, can you ask them if they can supply (bad pun I guess) a power supply for this unit from scratch? I would take one and put it on ice for the day that mine goes, but really do not want to pull mine out and ship it to them now. I also listen to it...........every day.

They only do rebuilds of the power supply. I sent my power supply to them today. Will let you folks know how it worked out when I get it back.
