The C22 MkV actually shares the same specs as the C70 Anniversary. But it's a $1000 cheaper!
C22 Reissue (prior model)
Frequency Response:
+0, -0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz
+0,- 1dB from 10Hz to 100kHz
C22 MkV and C70 Anniversary
Frequency Response
+0, -0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz
+0,- 3dB from 10Hz to 100kHz
The C22 MkV and C70 Annivesary also share the exact button layout, features, with similar face plates and color scheme. There are some losses in features from the previous C22 Reissue that aren't carried over to the newer C22 MkV such as the "loudness button" and the "L or R to both, reverse stereo feature".
I think Mac did a great job with the styling of the newer C22 MkV in that it will match other Mac components, but still has the cool retro theme of the C22 Reissue and C70 Anni.
Can't go wrong with any of them, if I had a C22 Reissue or C70 Anni ... I wouldn't give them up over the latest C22 MkV. I might not even give up a C2300 for one either. I however have a C220 ... I'm sure any of these would be a nice step up ... if I could only afford one ... I'm trying to figure out what gear I could sell to get to a point of where it would be semi-affordable to me ~ scheme on! :D
