A number of folks here like it. Its supposed to work very well for stripping out EMI and RF noise from Ethernet runs.

I was able to test one in my system. I found it did work IF I used a high end cable as the last 0.5 meters to my SilenZio. Inserting it at the end of my 10 meter Belden Ethernet cable and then using a few random cables I had lying around did nothing. Whatever ‘goodness’ the GigAfoil V4 added was stripped away by the crappy cable. But when I used a $600 Revelation Audio cable (made in Palm Coast FL), there was a noticeable improvement in the sound.

I am a believer in the effect. There seem to be a few ways to reduce/eliminate EMI/RFI and this is a good one.

Other ways include using high switches or some other sort of wire to fiber to wire system such as what Stephan has done.

I am still considering what I am going to do but will do something.

The pro usb may be a good solution for you assuming it sounds good, I haven't heard that module yet, otherwise the GigaFoil is money well spent. It allows you to keep Cat5/6 in wall and opt for a short run of your preferred ethernet cable from the gigafoil to your select ii. Ask Ken(alpinist), I believe he is using one with his select ii. The GigaFoil need a solid LPS(Keces P3, Uptone Ultracaps LPS 1.2) are what i'm using.

I installed one with the upgraded Keces P3 power supply, with an AQ Diamond ethernet cable between it, and my Lumin S-1. There was a very noticeable difference. Well worth the money, in my system.

I plan on selling the Keces P3 power supply very soon.:ok:

I have an AQ Diamond now so this is exactly the configuration I have chosen.

I have overhauled my whole Digital Front End to support streaming with amazing results.

The Gigafoil does work better with a LPS and Quality Ethernet cable and even better with added AC and DC cables and isolation to the LPS.

I am certain, that with your equipment, you will very clearly be able to hear the improvements. I added some AQ Storm series power cords, and the results are quite simply spooky! I don't know how to better describe it better than that, but I now am experiencing an emotional involvement that I had, until now, not achieved. I know better than to say that I"m "done", but, I'm very happy with my digital front end right now. Even my wife had to admit she could hear the difference!
