I'll be watching as many games as possible. It sucks the two teams I normally support aren't in it (USA & Netherlands). I'll mainly be cheering for the Tottenham players. They have a lot of players in the England & Belgium squads.

I will be watching. Not sure yet who I will be rooting for. DirecTv will be broadcasting some of the games in 4K.

It's a pity indeed that the Netherlands didn't qualify.
England and Belgium are in the same group, and should normally pass through to the next stage, although Carlos aka cma29 might not agree. :D

We have a good team, but have never won a major tournament.
Hopefully we can overcome our 'shyness'.

We're still at 720p here, but usually the image is pretty good.

I do agree. Panama just making to the Cup was amazing. I expect a three-and-out, but, hey, anything can happen (but not likely).

Watching but only because I have to due to work reasons. I hate where football is going, the hypertrophy, the way some nations, FA's, players and media have started to deteriorate and personally I prefer to watch younger lads (Under 20, U17, U15) with more freshness and less cynicism. Today a kid I "discovered" (spotted, scouted) agreed to move to Real Madrid for EUR 45 million + addons, totally larger than life, unrealistic and bad for anybody who's 17 years old and still very much in a period of learning, not just about the game etc but also about life and about themselves.

The World Cup to me has transformed into something that's too big (I suppose the market value of the France squad must be the debt of an entire Municipality?), so much so I decided not to attend this time around.

Moreover, I'm fine with watching the games on the TV and will celebrate should Argentina win (yeah right...), but I just pray nothing "weird" happens in terms of safety, Russia, international terrorism etc. That's far more important than if the ball goes in or not.

Fernando, pop stars and top sporters, like some football players, are way overpaid indeed.
But in the meantime, I'm going to enjoy myself and be a cheerleader of the Red Devils! :banana:
