Monster Trap on a rail!!

Finally had time for mounting the Monster Bass Trap today. With the location of the door and the proximity of my listening chair to that door I wanted a mounting solution that would allow for easy movement/adjustment. So I made up a rail and system that allows the panel to slide easily from side to side. It came out exactly like I had planned :)

Is the rail so you can access the wall switch and then put back into place where needed? How did you determine this as the location? Have been curious about how to use these.

GIK suggested using this panel directly behind my listening position. I was told it should be about 24 inches from the floor. I used boxes and books to play around with the actual height off the floor and settled on 27 inches as this position sounded best. As for the rail, yes it was about not blocking the light switch. I could have just spaced if off the wall a bit more but that seemed too easy, LOL!

Don... It came out looking nice, and very functional.

Thanks Alexander  Now that I know it works I'll take some time and do a brushed or perlage treatment on the aluminum rails. It was a fun and satisfying project
