Carnage at Daytona. Just before the most recent double yellow, three class leaders went off in Turn 1 one right after the other.

Red flag. Thanks goodness.

What a tedious final 8hr. Not sure that it can be called a "race". Endurance, for sure. Was nice to see BMW step up in GTLM. Sad to see some of the folks who pitted on the info from IMSA that they would be "going green" in a lap or two get totally hosed as a result.

I agree. But we were happy to get the heck out. Miserable morning but great weekend. Would do it again in a heart beat.

Great event and even better venue.

Did you guys get pit passes? You can go to IMSA credentials office across the street from the track and purchase single event credentials which gives you full access to pits and garages as if you were a team member. Used to be around $350 for the weekend. And if you’re going to do multiple races, a season hardcard was only $500.

There is also “The Roar Before the 24” about a month before where teams are getting in final practice, super cheap and easy weekend at Daytona. Teams are less stressed and your more likely to get personal time from teams going over their cars/pits/etc. will usually get offered a vip tour of garages/pits, meet drivers, maybe get to sit in the car. Its the first event of the season so everyone is pretty excited to show off their new team setup/cars and interact with fans after the long winter off

Yes. We had access to the garage and pit areas.

Lots of choices and we only go to Daytona. Have been to the Roar and it certainly is more relaxed with great access to the teams.
