Rega RP10, Grado Statement 2, and Bryston BP-2 on order

So my 2018 budget for audio has kicked in

I ordered the Rega RP10, Grado Statement 2 cartridge, Bryston BP-2 phono preamp and PS-3 power supply, and WW Gold Eclipse tonearm cable from Ivan. Delivery should happen sometime next week. Needless to say, I'm very excited about adding this high quality vinyl setup to my sound system.

I will post impressions in about a month.

Woohoo!! Looks exciting - you’re going to love the RP10, and that’s a great cartridge and phonostage.

Very nice!! I will look forward to your comments on the RP10 and Grado Statement v2 combination. I’m sure it will be a winner. Congrats!

My understanding is that Rega and Grado are not compatible due to humming issues or am I mistaken? Otherwise, that is some great gear! Congrats!

With the refined motor and separate power supply of the Rega, and 1mV output of the Statement, I doubt there will be a hum problem.

I recently read Michael Fremer's review of the RP10 where he mounted one of the most expensive Grado cartridges and reported the combo was superb. In any case, I'll find out next week and let you know.

You are mistaken; I have sold this exact combo previously, and it is superb.

Congrats Yong -- a great choice in the complete package.

So, presently there is no vinyl system -- this is a new journey?

Best Sir,
