Which cables do you use to your Vivaldi?

HI,

I'm a little curious to know what types and brands of cables you use to you Vivaldi and why you chose these?

I use today ...
- 4 pieces that were included with the purchase of Vivaldi
- 1 piece Tara Labs OnBoard 0.8 that I use between transport and the upsampler
- 5 pieces NO Blue Heaven LS clock cable

..but would love to have all the cables in the same brand and series, believes that with it will have a synergistic effect that becomes more positive pure sonically? Have yourself never heard 5 pieces TL in a Vivaldi rig? But on the other hand, I've heard it with 5 Transparent Ref (red) and thought it sounded really good according to my sound ideals.
But since I have not heard all the cables so I'm a bit curious as to how you reason and it would simultaneously funny to hear your views and experiences on the subject. Write and tell me so I get my curiosity appeased.

Have you considered that dCS may feel the cables they supplied provides the best synergy in their stack?

Sure, it might be so, but the times I have listened to Vivaldi as it has often been demonstrated with other cables, and then one can wonder why?

I use 5 pieces of Audioquest Wel Signature AES for between transport, DAC and upsampler and 5 Nordost Valhalla BNC for clock and a mixture of Nordost Odin, Wireworld Platinum Electra 7 and NBS Black Label II power cords.

You could always ask dCS what they own and use. :tresbon:

Zan,

I use the dCS Vivaldi Upsampler, DAC and Clock. I feed the upsampler with a Mac Mini computer. I use Transparent's Premium USB between computer and Upsampler, Transparent Ref XL AES/ABU's between the upsampler and the DAC, Transparent Ref XL 75 ohm cables to connect up the clock signals and finally Transparent Ref XL Balanced between the DAC and my D'Agostino amps.

I've owned Transparent cables for 25 years and have no desire to try anything else. They are special.

I use Transparent as well. Have you tried the ethernet conection instead of the usb? I use a Synology NAS (DS Audio + Audio Station) + Switch + Upsampler. Could also be Mac Mini ( Minimserver) + Upsampler.

I've been using the ethernet cable from Meicord - Germany with great results but any cat6 cable works properly.

While I am sure they have many different brands of cable to choose from, I do happen to know that they are using the Anaconda Digital cables in their reference system.
