2 F112 or F113
Let me preface my question by stating, I had two F110 v2s that I purchased in lieu of one F112 v2. The consensus was that dual subs are better than one. I recently had the opportunity to listen to a F112 and in my system the F112 was much better than dual F110s. The F112 is so good, I'm thinking about getting the F113. What option is best for my system considering I'm more concerned about music than HT; dual F112 v2s or one F113 v2?

Rick. I'm thinking you'd be better off with 2 subs as you'll see a 6 db. increase in output. Two subs will also give more even coverage in your room. I still have my Aerial 7Ts and I went with 2 E110s. I've never regretted that decision. Very fast, musical and I get close to 19HZ in my room. I can only imagine what the 12s will sound like. You will need a high and low pass filter to blend them to perfection. Good luck!

I would go with the two subs as well. I have been very happy with my 2 F113s.

Dual f113v2's with CR-1 crossover is a very musical setup with Revel Salon 2's.

Even pressurization is ideal aka dual subs.

Thanks to everyone that responded. I've already had the CR1 with dual F110 v2s and prefer the F112 v2. Based on my experience I submit it's possible to yield good results from a sub without an external crossover. The F112 v2 has been one of the better component upgrades that I've ever done.
I was told that the F112 was marginally better than the F110 and dual F110s would out perform a single F112. In my room/ with my equipment that didn't bear out. My question should have been; is the F113 v2 significantly better than the F112 v2? |
2 F112 or F113
I believe the 112 covers a broader frequency range then the 113. Whether that is important may vary depending on your main speakers.

2 F112 or F113
F113 v2. One for now and one more down the road because it seems you will end up with dual F113 v2 no matter what, which is a very good thing.
