Thanks for the warning, I will be careful not to succumb to the devil of tube rolling

Hi everyone I am a new owner of a Inspire PSE tube amplifier currently using my Luxman 590AXII as the pre-amp temporarily. Curious on if I should stick with Dennis and get one of his Preamps to compliment it or have any other folks have had success with other brands?

My System is Cornwall IV's Denafrips Terminator Plus DAC and source Lumin U1 mini streamer.

Inspire gear sounds great by itself, but there's a synergy that comes from having multiple pieces to make an Inspire system. I might be considered biased, but I'm sure others have an opinion as well.

Dennis has just put a pair of his Inspire PSE 300b's up for sale on eBay. Here's his comment on these amps...

"The new Inspire PSE 300b mono blocks are the absolute finest sounding amplifiers I have designed and built in all my 67 years of slinging solder."

Dennis says $15,000 and free CONUS shipping for AA/Inspire family members, but only by PM'ing me here...

That makes sense I see Dennis is selling his premaps on ebay might have to pick one one up. Hoping to maybe see one on USAM but haven't yet so might have to buy new.

Question I want to try KT150 or KT170 but don't know if they will even fit...currently running quad of KT88 GV Golden Voice output tubes, a Shuguang Treasure CV181-Z, and an RCA 5U4G rectifier.

I've never tried one of Dennis's preamps but have gotten good results from both a Schitt Freya+ and especially a Supratek Cabernet. I actually have a thread on this forum about how I had trouble getting the Supratek to work well with the KT88 Firebottle but I was able to get it sorted out eventually.

I have been tempted by some of the preamps that Dennis has released, the 6j5/6c5 in particular, but I have to have a remote. I tend to listen to music stations on Apple Music and volume can vary quite a bit between tracks.

Beautiful amplifiers, these 300b PSE mono blocks, certainly the best sound that money and good words can buy, but unfortunately at a price that is beyond my budget.
I still have to save up hard for a PSE stereo version. but God willing the time will come

I can confirm the synergy effects of preamp and power amplifier. The 300b DJH and the KT88 sep also sound great with the preamp section from my Symphonic Line, but with the matching preamps from dennis it harmonizes better, it's just a matter of nuances, but it can be heard.

I posted a image above of my amp looks tight... Also what is the main difference from his SET, SEP, and PSE? I have them PSE with the IIPS.
