With their continued passion and commitment to excellence, Alon Wolf and his team of engineers are pleased to announce the new Q7 Mk II loudspeaker. In addition to the excitement of this new product launch, Magico is also making available an upgrade path for current Q7 owners.

Since the original Q7 loudspeaker was introduced in 2011, it has been revered as a state-of-the art loudspeaker by music enthusiasts and senior press around the world. It seems unimaginable that the Q7's performance could be improved upon. However, we are proud to say it is true – the best just got better!

The new Q7 Mk II loudspeaker was inspired by some of the new technologies we unveiled in the limited-edition M-Project. Key elements of the M-Project design will now be incorporated into the new Q7 Mk II, which results in significant improvements to the overall sound performance. Notable changes are found in the tweeter, midrange, and crossover. These improvements will ensure the Q7 Mk II remains Magico’s supreme accomplishment, and the company's flagship model.

Tweeter Highlights

The Q7 Mk II incorporates a new, more efficient version of the revolutionary tweeter found in the M-Project. A 28mm diamond-coated beryllium diaphragm with optimized geometry, created using state-of-the-art finite-element-analysis modeling tools, brings the Q7 Mk II's high-frequency reproduction one step closer to perfection. This was achieved by skillfully leveraging beryllium's physical properties: the new tweeter is closer to the theoretical ideal, yet without gaining the extra weight normally associated with diamond’s specific gravity. This new technology enabled us to increase the dome diameter to 28mm (vs. the previous 26mm), improving many aspects of
performance while enabling even greater power handling. This new technology, combined with a new motor system and new acoustically improved back chamber, results in the lowest distortion measurements possible today in a high-frequency transducer.

Midrange Highlights

The Q7 Mk II will have a new 6"-diameter midrange driver that features a new Graphene-based cone material from Magico. This new cone is 30% lighter and 300% stiffer than its predecessor.
This is the first commercial use of such an advanced composite. The driver utilizes an underhung neodymium-based motor system with an extra-large magnet and a top stabilizing magnet to ensure a perfectly stabilized magnetic field of 1.7 Tesla in a 15mm air gap, culminating with a pure vented titanium voice coil. The latest 3D laser scanning techniques were used to allow for unparalleled precision in assembly, ensuring optimal behavior in each driver’s frequency range while reducing non-pistonic motion and minimizing distortion components. The midrange driver has a +/- 6mm of stabilized excursion rate at very high sensitivity, enabling 120dB (at 1m) of distortion-free playback in the midrange frequencies.

Crossover Highlights

The Q7 Mk II will include the latest state-of-the-art parts from Mundorf of Germany, including the new, amazing, MCap Supreme Evo capacitors.

Q7 Mk II Upgrade Highlights

The Q7 Mk II upgrade path includes a new tweeter, new midrange, and new crossover. The faceplate requires re-machining to accommodate the new, larger-sized tweeter.

The Q7 Mk II is our finest achievement, a technical triumph that fully expresses the ultimate passion and capabilities of Magico. We believe that the Q7 Mk II defines our commitment to technically and artistically redefining the genre, and will provide music lovers with an unlimited and unedited space within which to experience sound like never before.

Will you be doing the upgrade Toga ?

Hi, Of course I really love to. But there are three problems. 1. 44,000$ is huge amount of money. 2. Have to be done at California factory only, shipping and tax will have to add to the cost. 3. I Have only live with Mk I for 2 years and found nothing wrong with it, thye're a true multi purpose speakers . I may even not push it to the limit just yet. Will 44,000$ better spend elsewhere, like trading old amps/pre for a pair of Soulution 701/725, I don't know. At 44,000$ , consider new parts involved. It's like buying a 2-way speakers sans enclosures. But I am really glad that it can be upgraded anyway.. May be one day... This year I've already invested a lot in analog play back system and just got a pair of new subwoofers. Not a lot of fund left. I have just finished installing new outlet for these new subs a minute ago. No.. they are not Qsub18... These new subs are small part of the reason that slow down the Mk II upgrade plan haha. Toga

Haha Toga, always busy with new stuff.

Don't worry, listened to the Q7 with Soulution gear a few weeks ago, was the best I have ever heard, Soulution 701/711/725 might be the way to go, but also very expensive.
