Stillpoints suggestion

I have a VPI Aries 3D table on a birch/cork 3” platform. I have the Classic feet with Symposium insert on the turntable. Which Stillpoints should I consider and should they go on the table or platform? Curious mind needs to know.

Definitely on the Platform; Ultra SS w/ Bases.

I’ll assume under the platform. :D

Yup! :ok:

And the improvement will not be subtle.

Thank you Ivan. Will I need to sell a kidney?

Masterlu 07-27-2018 11:27 PM

Nope, not even an arm or a leg. :D

I have become Stillpoints-ized thanks to Ivan’s generous pricing. Hopefully I can now use TT without a rumble filter. My arm and cartridge compliance is around 9.3 (VPI 3D and Cadenza Black).

Good for you, they are remarkable little gizmos!

I am very pleased with the results from the use of the Ultra SS and bases under my turntable platform. The music became more open, instruments separated, bass tighter, and best of all, no more acoustic feedback through my arm. I gave my Sf Auditor Ms all the wattage they could handle and never encountered any rumbling of feedback. This is how I wanted my analog front end to sound.

Thank you Ivan for your help
