High End Receptacle Cover Plates

Hey,

I will soon be replacing my electrical duplex of my audio room soon and I am wondering if those high end, highly priced electical receptacle cover plates really do makes a difference. 5 or 10 years I would have laughted at someone telling me he was upgrading LAN cables for audio but with high end audio, there is always new around the corner and one has to keep an open mind to always seek best performance.

But here we are. Along with those 150$ audio fuses (I purchased one), there are those 250$ cover plates for the electical receptacles. My system is far from the six figures so I am wondering if I should even care and just go for those home depot 0.79$ plastic ones. After careful and lenghty research, I will most likely purchase the cruzeFIRST Audio Maestro outlet. For the cover plate, I would like something to match the black color. Furutech have the 105.1 NCF and 105-D NCF. Any though on this?

They make a big difference on a better system. Please don’t use a Home Depot 0.79$ outlet for anything, much less audio applications.

The 105.1 NCF are great. I have two in my system and one 105 NCF in my video. Very obvious noise reductions visually and aurally. Highly recommended

I can appreciate the improvement from a better electrical outlet but I’m at a loss to see how the outlet cover plate can impact anything but the aesthetics.

So did I until I installed my final system in our forever house and put the Furutech 105.1’s on and my system noise floor lowered quite noticeably. The NCF crystalline formula is quite something. As I added NCF boosters throughout (Ed. 13 not 11) now, it’s improved in all directions further.

Beside the Furutech 105.1, 105-D and 104-D, what are the other options? CruzeFIRST have one to match their outlet but I am not sure about the finish. I need either black or plain white.

That was my first reaction when I saw those popping out. I am curious though but it’s hard to be convinced tbh.

Besides the Furutech GTX (3 piece set) there are no other options that come close.

I’m definitely staying out of this topic. :D
