Homeland - Final Season

I watched the first Episode of Season 8 of Homeland last evening. As many of you know this will be the last season for the show. From what we saw in the initial episode it could get back to the very entertaining drama it was in the first couple of years. How they picked up from last seasons finale sets up so many possibilities. I have stuck with it all along even if Carrie's character drives me up the wall at times.

As usual the writers throw in current topics such as all of the issues with the US "trying" to get out of Afghanistan.

Probably my favorite show over the years, some years better than others. Quinn's demise was heartbreaking.

Yes, I am watching it too. Carrie drives me crazy, all the stuff about her daughter what kind of mother she is kind of pisses me off sometimes. I don't want to give away too much, but I'd quit the damn CIA if it came down to that, the choices she was looking at.

Oh, and NO president would resign the way it was portrayed. No president would willingly give up power! I found a lot of stuff around that story to be "silly".

Oh and Peter Quinn was my favorite character, watching season 6 was really tough for me. Poor Peter.

I do like that they are "going back to the roots" in season 8. I hope it lives up to the older seasons.

Right with you on Carrie's character, Jim.

If you think about it, she's compromised or been responsible for the death of everyone she's ever loved.

Early in the series Saul nailed it “Carrie you are the smartest and dumbest f—-ing person I have ever known”.

The writers often have it easy for her overused lines. ‘Trust Me”

They should have killed off Carie and let Quinn take over

Never been the same since Brody.....and after Quinn the pace was just too slow.
