Ethernet Networking Cable
 

I am thinking of replacing a couple of my networking cables. Is there anything special I should be looking for? Any recommendations on brand. One is for my Synology NAS if that matters. Thanks!

Nope....Ethernet cable is Ethernet cable...its passing 1's and 0's...that's it.

I went with Audioquest Forest. The build quality alone is worth the cost. And I do believe I can tell a difference over the generic cables I had.

For me at the moment Furutech LAN-10G (cat 6), ultra affordable and really happy with it.

From objective reviews reviews that I have read, all you need is a well-built Cat 5E cable.
While a category 6 or higher cable category may allow higher speeds than 5E for network applications, for audio there is no need to spend big bucks on a faster Ethernet cable. We are talking ones and zeroes.
