No problem my N10 sounds great [emoji106] and is definitely a step up from the N100h. I am upgrading My interconnects for my C52 and MC452 from Nordost Purple Flair to Frey 2. I am going to upgrade my Heimdall 2 5 meter speaker cables also. Hopefully the end is near. jdandy thanks for all your help. My system has come a long way.

Seen this as well, updated, although not sure what the update was and will ⭕️ back. Like seeing the use of Nordost. Frey 2 will be profound, the end is further away then you think [emoji851] - Enjoy Your Sound 🤺

Currently running Roon through a Mac Mini into a Boulder/Magico system. About 18 months ago I demo’d the W20 and immediately noticed a clear sonic improvement over my current Mac Mini, but I found the Conductor app far inferior to Roon. Anyone out there trade in Roon for the Conductor app?

Yup ... Last year and never looked back! I found that I spend far more time listening than I do selecting songs so the improvement in sound quality for me was more important than the metadata that Roon offers. I actually like the Conductor app better as it seems simpler to me.

Aurender App Update

Thx for the heads up gentlemen. I wonder exactly what the MQA update means ... now 24 bit vs 0 padded 32 bit?? I’ve always wondered what the 32 bit meant. Overall, the update descriptions looks like a nice update. I have been so pleased with my experience owning the N10 and X100L.

Well ... a quick google search answered my own question.

“Well, it outputs 24 actual bits of sound data, but puts it in 32-bit chunks, because often soundcards with 24-bit dacs only have 16 and 32 bit modes to work in (like the RME), so if you want to use the full 24-bit capability of the dac, you must trick the card by sending it 24-bit padded to 32.”

“The driver deals with 16 and 32 not 24 so that's why you must pad it. Padding means adding 0s. A 24bit DAC takes 24bits of input and gets rid of the extra 8 zeros.”

Will there ever be an app for the iPhone? I believe there's one for Android.

Steve.......I read somewhere that Aurender was considering an iPhone version of the Conductor App but have heard nothing to indicate it has become available. The Android version of the Conductor App works good, although as I understand it remains a beta version. I have it downloaded on my Samsung Galaxy S7.

I wrote Aurender asking them about an iPhone app and here's their reply...

"A new cross-platform app is currently under development. Our software team is hard at work on it. However, it may still be some time yet. You and I are both anxiously anticipating the release of the iPhone app!"

I just updated my Aurender last night. Somehow I missed the last update. It doesn't make any sense to me but for some reason my ripped CD's sound much better than they ever have. My wife commented on the increase in sound quality also. She wondered what else I bought. Previously, I only played ripped CD's for convenience as CD's played through my K-01x sounded better. I still love the Aurender best for streaming MQA.

For me the ONLY MISSING FEATURE of the Conductor app, (compared to ROON and Deezer), is the ability to READ THE LYRICS of the songs played.

Is there any chance to have lyrics implemented in a new version of the Conductor app... soon ?

bmichels.......IMHO, no. The Aurender Conductor App is not trying to be ROON. It is perfectly fine the way it is. If that is the only reason you see not to enjoy owning an Aurender N10, as you have stated in other threads, then you will miss the astonishing performance the N10 offers, and that includes the well designed, intuitive to use Conductor App. How difficult is it to open another tab on the iPad and use Google to provide lyrics.
