New Clearaudio Ovation table
Here is a preview of the new Clearaudio Ovation table....Retail $5500
Panzerholz wood/aluminum sandwich plinth Plinth mass loaded and internally damped with stainless steel shot damping tiles Adjustable leveling and locking feet from Innovation 40mm thick Delrin platter with weighted rim Machined aluminum sub-platter Inverted Ceramic Magnetic Bearing (CMB) Decoupled 3 speed DC motor with Optical Speed Control (OSC) Clarify tonearm features a magnetic bearing, carbon fiber armwand, machined aluminum headshell, and low center of gravity counter-weight assembly adjusted by internal mechanism. |
Hmmm, I'm feeling this one. I'd throw an Origin Live Illustrious MK3C Tonearm on it though. :scratch2: Can it be purchased without CA Tonearm?

Lots of trickle down technology on this one. I'm also liking the delrin platter. Delrin is less resonant and I can sense a less forward/lively presentation and a smoother richer tone over the acrylic. :scratch2:

Jeff.....That's a lot of turntable for $5500.00. Reading the features list I see many similar features that are used on the Clearaudio Innovation Wood. This turntable will be an excellent performer. I believe I prefer your Magnify tonerm choice over the Clarify tonearm. I predict this will be a big seller for Clearaudio.
Nothing wrong with that Fosgate Signature Phono Stage in the background, either. http://www.audioaficionado.org/attac...rify800709.jpg |

This one looks like a winner. I'm also curious about buying sans tonearm and if the plinth is available in another color.

All good questions....here is a list of options so far I need to nail down
1. Optional tonearms and pricing 2. Does it come with and with out tonearm 3. Color options for plinth 4. Outer ring options (I'm sure there rings fit all the Delrin platters) 5. Arm boards available 6. Complete arm, table and cartridge package (they usually offer a slight discount off retail to pass on to our customers) 7. 12" arm compatibility (I doubt it but worth asking) 8. VTA adjuster (by the looks of it a different arm board needed) Anyone else with question, I will add them to the list and hopefully have answers Tuesday...... I also think this table would be nice with a Graham Phantom arm, it would have a stealth look  Jeff A/V Solutions |
As a Clear dealer, do you find their tables work better (or are just different) with third party arms?
I don't have a ton of experience with the Clear tables... |
