Duke Ellington - Ellington Indigos.

Great mood music. This album's been a favorite since I was 18, or maybe in college. Thought of it then somewhat as unoffensive (meaning not too boring) elevator or background music. But his compositions and the soulful playing of his orchestra are truly powerful, paradoxically for music that is so mellow. In some ways this is the height of his sophisticated sound, and highlights many of the virtuosos in the band.:thumbsup:

I'd love to see this one reissued on 180g vinyl.
