Update from c47 to c2600
Hi there, just to share. Finally updated my c47 to the new c2600. The result?
Uau!!! It is a new system!!! Especially the bass is now much more powerful and alive, and the Sound is so analogic, totally different, warmer, better I would say. I was not sure if my Mc302 would match with the c2600, you know, solid+valve?. But it does great!!! Nothing against the c47, I did enjoy it a lot, but I find it now too accurate, too exact, almost cold. Anyway happy with the new McIntosh toy!!! BR |
Congratulations with your upgrade , and lot of happy listening :)

SS + Valves is a great combination especially if you were looking to move from a ‘cold’ presentation.
Congrats and enjoy! |
Congratulations! I had the same kind of revelation when I went from Mc solid state to my C2500. However,
:ttiwwp: Let's see that system! Enjoy in good health. |
C2X00 pre with a SS amp is very common here. Great choice, enjoy!

Congratulations!

Congratulations as well. I also had a MC302 with the C2300 ( earlier version of the C2600 ) for 10 years when using Martin Logan speakers.
When I switched to Magnepan MG1.7i , switched out MC302 for Bryston 4Bł as it had better synergy with Magnepan's. Tube preamp with solid state power amp always worked well with McIntosh )))) Dan |

Felicitaciones Fercho! Quite an upgrade indeed, the 2600 is a tough one to beat.

Congrats! I made the same move, and have never looked back. I love my C2600.
