How do you strip flat wireworld cables like this?

It’s on my list to do today, and my regular wire stripper doesn’t work for the flat cable design.

Any tips?

I am sure Ivan has a tool. I would use a match...

I tested with a match on some patch cable and it made a huge mess.

I’ve used a small pair of diagonal cutters - bite down just hard enough to score the insulation on both sides, then pull while keeping pressure on the handles. Takes a bit of practice. Try it on a scrap piece.

There is a special wire cutting tool for stripping flat wire. Without it, you are best to use a new single edge razor blade; its super easy. :ok:

Just score the wire on both sides; the insulation will pull right off then.
