I've finally found the time to read the article and I found it very interesting. The room plays a big part of the sound and anyone should look into how best treat it to get the best sound.

Though, I'm not a fan of his room and I wouldn't call it the world's greatest audio system. I have seen more impressive rooms and systems. Esthetics plays a big part in my decisions

Stunning room. The amps are what I dream of owning some day!!

I couldn't sit and listen all day in a room that looked liked that no matter how good it sounded with all those traps.

I must say Jim, I prefer your room too.

The traps wouldn't bother me if it sounds as good as I imagine it does. Besides, I keep the lights fairly low anyway ;)

Of course the leather love seat in the listening position negates at least some of the good room acoustics LOL

While I'm sure the room sounds great, I too am a visual creature and that just looks like a hot mess to me. Build an entire house around a listening room and I would think aesthetics would play a bigger role. Some of Ivan's rooms I'm sure sound equally as good if not better, and they are beautiful.
