Burmester B100

Do we have anyone using the B100's?

Ivan...I am a big fan of Burmester electronics but not so much their speakers. They have always left me feeling a bit cold and uninterested after listening to them. I don't have extensive experience listening to them but I did hear them in Berlin at a Burmester only store with 911 monos, 088 pre, and 069 CD front end and they were set up properly for sure. I guess the way i would describe them is very good "hifi" speakers but they just did not pull me in emotionally :dunno: Just my 2c.

It's all good Cyril... I actually enjoyed the B80's at my place during the Cape Experience.

Granted they don't knock me over in the looks department, but their sound sure does.

Had the chance to hear the full Reference Line with these speakers and I must say they DO SOUND GOOD!

However, as I am very committed to the Meridian Reference Line itself, plus I could not bear the trade in loss, I gave this combo a miss.

BUT they do sound good. So Ivan, if you are thinking of adding this to your already superbly impressive line up, collect them!

Ivan, when I heard them at the Cape Experience, I had a similar reaction to what Cyril described. Not saying they are bad, just not my cup of tea.
