Selling a used car

Anyone sold a used car lately(its been about 15 years since I have)? I’m getting offers before anyone even comes to see the car, seems odd having not viewed the car in person.

Depends on the circumstances.

Cannot comment without knowing the specific details of the sale offer, what was said between the parties and the logistics involved between them.

I'll bet they priced the car online, deducted 20 - 25% and made an offer. Sounds like someone who would buy it and flip it.

Have you valued it yet?

Yeah, I’m just a little under KBB. I guess I’m stuck on what I’d do, never make an offer until I’ve seen it. Not that anyone can be held to an offer but I also know an additional attempt to haggle will be made.

Depending on the car, that is not unusual. Folks looking for a particular car may buy a car located across the country without even seeing the car in person. Some may have a PPI done by a local dealer and make a purchase based on that. Others may rely on Carfax and other records that you may provide. I have sold cars that way. I have also bought new cars from a dealer cross country sight unseen.

Sounds like typical craigslist type buyers
