It really does not help nor hurt the performance of the stands, thanks.

Received my Sub stands out to here on the west coast...haven't done a lot of critical listening, but what I have heard I like...it does seem tighter and less bloated, I played The Police Bluray concert which is a pretty bass heavy and I like that you can pick out the bass line more accurately now...and luv the look!

They come in matching black too, $16 each.

I'm using a set of them on LuJrs F112 on a wood floor.

I don't like spikes on my hardwood floors.

That's why I went with these for my main speakers.
