Oh how I wish... (Tannoy)

Oh how I wish my analog room was just a bit wider!

Not that I am not happy with the Kensington SE's but I think this would be the perfect partner for the Shindo Cortese! 96dB, 8 ohm, gorgeous cabinets. Oiled walnut veneer exterior finish, hand selected burr walnut inlays and solid walnut mouldings... Alnico magnet system with Pepperpot Waveguide... 15" treated paper pulp cone with HE twin roll fabric surround... This would probably be the last speaker I would ever need.

Mental note to self, stop listening to what everyone else in the family wants and then hardly uses when building a house! :tears: I know I could squeeze them in my room but I doubt I will be doing them any justice. If my room was only 4-5 feet wider.... And they are only $7k more expensive!

Jeff, I am locked in between a stairway and the foundation wall.

Pete, I have grown very fond of Tannoy sound with SET amps. It just sounds right to me. The bigger and more efficient the Tannoy, the better the results! That they are gorgeous is a big bonus.

Ivan, you are on to something. I wonder if I can break through the foundation floor and build myself a new listening room even deeper underground? :scratch2::D

I've never had the pleasure of hearing any of them, but I'm a real sucker for nice wood cabinetry. If they sound as good as they look, well......

Serge, I don't see obstacles; just challenges.

Serge... Call you carpenter and ask him to perform a miracle.
