What jazz music are you listening to?

Like with the new blues thread, I'd like to learn from you guys about some good jazz albums.
I've been a jazz fan since more than 30 years, and still find it one of the finest arts.
To be witness of the process of creation of the art in the moment itself is a privilege, so going to concerts is a must for jazz lovers.
Good recordings come second, and I'll start with a classic album:

Horace Silver plays really funky (my 12-year old daughter starts dancing spontaneously here :D).
Art Blakey gets a lot of room for solos, and he does them with his usual fire.
The bass players are Gene Ramey, Curly Russell and Percy Heath.
Recording quality is reasonable (recorded '52-'53).

Another absolute classic album!
Sonny Rollins in blood form.
Max Roach, one of the finest drummers of all times.
Tommy Flanagan, powerful yet subtle.
Doug Watkins, delivering fine bass support.
Good remastering.

Bart,
I'm glad you started this thread. I have been wanting something like this for sometime, but just looked through the other threads searching for the Jazz material.

I want second Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band with another listing. I purchased "That's How We Roll" CD in late 2011 and I have been playing it multiple times per week.

18-piece big band. 10-track album of original material except for Rhapsody in Blue. This recording is great in my opinion since you can hear all the different parts of the band. Nothing gets masked over in this recording.
