has anyone compared using a SPU directly into a Shindo Monbrison MC or with the A23 SUT for SPU?

I have a shindo Masseto which has built in Lundahl step ups internally. But these are not very good in quality compared to my external step ups. I would like to replace them with the 1943 in 1:16 ratio. Would this be a upgrade on whats installed inside the Shindo at the moment. What model is inside the Shindo? They look small so i assume they would be the lower end Lundhal.

Don't assume anything with regards to Shindo. Just because they are small does not mean they are terrible!
