PMC owners at AA
Just curious folks,
How many PMC owners do we have at AA ? Please state your model and the pairing amp/pre or integrated amplifier. Do you plan to change your PMC speakers or do you believe that they are long term keepers ? |
Jérôme.......I own the PMC EB1i speakers, and I could not be happier with them. They are definately long term keepers. They are powered with C1000C/P and MC501 amplifiers.
|
TB2i my first ever speaker purchase, but most likely not my last... Paired with C500P, MC501 and MCD500.
|
I use the DB1is in my office system with a Peachtree Decco and am very happy with them...plan to try further up the chain when I can.
|
Thanks for you answers guys !!
Hey PMC owners, wake up !! Chuck, Levi, Klipschfan.... |
Ok,
So it's too bad but the PMC forum is sleeping..... |
Jerome,
I have a pair of TB2i's in my bedroom powered by a 47 Labs integrated amp. Great little system. No plans to change or upgrade! |
Currently have a pair of PMC AML2's and will soon have a pair of PMC TB2i Signature Edition.
Using McIntosh and Meridian gear. Believe the AML2's will be long term keepers!... |
Currently have,
PMC EB1i's - Bryston 7B sst2 X 2 PMC IB2i Center - Bryston 7B sst2 PMC CB6i surrounds - Bryston 4B sst2 Would upgrade EB1i's if a new model came out that had the same mid-range driver as the IB2i. |
FB1i Sigs
I have had my PMC FB1i Signatures for a week now. S/N 111;112. They replaced Gallo Ref 3.5 which did not click for me. The new Sig's are so much more involving.
My rig is all McIntosh: MC 402, C220, and MCD 301. All cables are Analysis-Plus Silver. |
Hey Dave, welcome to AA! I've been meaning to get your feedback on the Sigs... Sounds like they are working out for ya'.
|
EB1i's powered by C1000/T and MC501's
CB6i and Ob1i's powered by MX150 and MC207 My PMC speakers are here to stay for the long term.:thumbsup: |

Keep coming ! Many PMC owners are missing... |
Love my PMC OB1i
Someone summoned me?
You know I love my PMC OB1i. I use a pair of Bryston 7B-SST mono blocks and a BAT VK-51SE tube preamp with it. I recently acquired a new tube dac with ESS chips by Eastern Electric and I think it is a great tube DAC for the money. However, It will not replace my Esoteric CD player. I will probably will not switch to different brand of speakers anymore. I am not getting any younger @40s, my hearing is not as good as when I was in the 20s or 30s. It is a fact of life that we all undergoes called primary aging.:yes: Don't worry guys, it is a gradual process that you will hardly accept. By age 65+, most of us will hardly be able to tell higher and softer notes anyway. So I am enjoying the bliss for now. :music: Quote:

Levi.......You've been absent for a long while. Good to hear from you.
|

PMC MB2 with PMC stands
Bryston 14B-SST2 (mid/tweeter) Bryston 14B-ST (bass) Bryston BP26 Bryston BCD-1 Bryston interconnects Neutral and dynamic set-up with good clarity and detail. A bit lean overall - texture/body and overall smoothness of individual instruments could be improved (may be due to room acoustics?) |
Viajero5000.......Welcome to Audio Aficionado.
No doubt the PMC MB2 and Bryston bi-amp set up rocks the house. |
MB2's, my dream speakers,

Keep us posted on the new Fact 8 speakers. There is always interest in PMC speakers here. |
Yartle ... Welcome aboard!

So this is where the PMC owners went.
I have IB-1s and an IB1-center. I power the L&R with a Bryston 4B-SST and the center with a Bryston 4B-ST-Pro. I use my SP-1.7 as the pre-amp with it's built-in DAC and sometimes a bel Canto DAC-3 for 2 channel (Sp-1.7 in bypass). I'm pretty happy with the IB-1's, especially when I play in 5.1 - the IB1-C nicely fills in the bass. I don't have much time to experiment anymore, but it would be interesting to try and make the IB1-C into a sub-woofer when listening to 2-channel using a cross-over. |
